It looks like three new Apple Macs are set to go official as they pass through the EEC database, and are reportedly being tested in India. The word on the street is that Apple will be hosting a new event next month. Moreover, it is speculated that the Cupertino-based tech giant will be unveiling its more affordable iPhone model dubbed, the iPhone SE 2022 at the event. Aside from that, Apple is reportedly prepping to announce a couple of new iPad models during its Spring event.
Furthermore, there is a possibility that Apple could announce some unexpected products later this year. For instance, the tech behemoth could take the wraps off the new Mac machines. These would probably include a new Apple Mac mini and a Mac Pro. In addition to that, the company is also prepping to launch the new M2 MacBook Air and M2 MacBook Pro models by the end of 2022. Now, the aforesaid new Mac machines have arrived on the EEC certification website before launch. Let’s check out the purported Mac machines spotted in the EEC database by MySmartPrice.
Three New Apple Mac Machines Spotted On EEC
According to the publication, three new Mac machines have made their appearance on the EEC certification website. Furthermore, the site suggests that one of the three devices carries model number A2615. The aforesaid Mac model could turn out to be the much-awaited Mac Pro. Alternatively, MySmartPrice suggests that it could be a higher-end Mini. However, regardless of the product, it is likely to pack a new M1 Pro or the M1 Max chipset under the hood.
To recall, an earlier report suggests that Apple could launch an iMac Pro with either the M1 Pro or the M1 Max chip later this year. While details about that are still scarce, the new Mac model is being tested in India at the moment. Industry sources have confirmed this piece of vital information to MySmartPrice. Aside from that, the sources claim that the model could go official in the coming months. However, it is still unclear whether it will launch next month.
To recall, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg had predicted that the new Mac Pro will come with two different processors. According to Gurman, these could be the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips. Moreover, the same chips power up both 14-inch, as well as 16-inch MacBook Pro models. Likewise, the other two models carry A2686 and A2681 model numbers. Despite the lack of an official confirmation, past leaks suggest that model number A2681 belongs to a MacBook.
What Else Do We Know So Far?
If rumors making the rounds online prove to be true, the upcoming MacBook will turn out to be an entry-level Air model that packs a new M2 chip. As a result, it seems safe to assume that the product with model number A2681 is actually the upcoming MacBook Air M2. The impending Air model is likely to undergo a radical overhaul in terms of design. If recently leaked design renders are anything to go by, the new MacBook Air will adopt a flat design. Furthermore, it will probably come in multiple color options.
On the downside, the MacBook Air will reportedly feature only two USB Type-C ports. Moreover, it will probably sport a larger 14-inch display with thick white bezels. Other key details about the upcoming Mac machines are still few and far between.
