There are so many products from TOZO, it was difficult to choose the “best.” I purchased the NC9 model and was impressed. But the T12 and other models’ specs and features seemed so tempting! Are the NC9 really the best? I reached out to the company, but didn’t get a clear answer. So, I decided to test. I purchased the NC9 Pro and the T12 Pro. I only purchased the TOZO products with the largest driver diameter because I want to hear deep bass when listening to music. I also like to listen to music in bed; earbuds which will not fall out or be uncomfortable when placing my ear on a pillow are a must. Here are the differences I noted, and my recommendations.THE “TOZO SOUND” MOBILE APPWhich TOZO devices are compatible with the TOZO Sound app?- The TOZO Sound app is currently compatible with models T6S, T10S, NC2 Pro, NC7 Pro, NC9 Pro and NC9 Pro Max.- The NC9 Pro Max model doesn’t appear to be available as of this writing.- From the products I tested, only the NC9 Pro works with the app.- The T12 Pro and NC9 are not recognized by the app.The TOZO Sound mobile app main features:- Equalizer that actually works- Programmable earbud button controls- More noise canceling options, including custom mode (must use app to set – extra modes don’t cycle when pressing the earbuds button).PHYSICAL DIFFERENCESThe NC9 and NC9 Pro are essentially the same, except:- The NC9 Pro has updated voice/sound feedback and seems to respond a little faster.- The NC9 Pro works with the TOZO Sound mobile app.- Slight cosmetic differences (more below).- Both the NC9 and NC9 Pro models feature active noise canceling and transparent mode. The T12 Pro earbuds and charger feature a different design.- The overall size is about the same as the NC9/NC9 Pro, but more round.- The earbuds are designed to fit a little deeper in the ear canal.- The T12 Pro features a larger “power bank” charging case with detailed battery stats.- The T12 Pro does not feature any noise canceling or transparent modes.MINOR DIFFERENCES- The NC9 Pro earbuds have “TOZO” printed on the outside and “L” and “R” printed on the inside.- The NC9 earbuds have “L” and “R” printed on the outside, TOZO on the inside.- The T12 Pro has detailed charger and earbud battery stats.- The NC9 and NC9 Pro have simple indicator lights.- The NC9 Pro charging case lights blink faster than the NC9 when the case is charging.- The NC9 pairs once you take the earbuds out of the charging case.- The NC9 Pro and T12 Pro will pair as soon as you open the charging case lid.SOUND QUALITY DIFFERENCEST12 Pro- The T12 Pro earbuds feature the deepest bass, though it’s only a little more than the NC9/NC9 Pro.- They seem to be factory-tuned for big bass with slightly muted mid and higher frequencies.NC9/NC9 Pro- The NC9 and NC9 Pro are factory-tuned with louder, clear vocals and highs, and still have rich bass.NC9 Pro Advantage “Cheat Mode”- With the TOZO Sound app “Bass +” equalizer setting, the NC9 Pro can be tuned to produce as much bass as the T12 Pro,- All while keeping the clear vocals and highs.ACTIVE NOISE CANCELING & TRANSPARENT MODE – WHAT TO EXPECTIt is my opinion that the active noise canceling and “transparent mode” features in the NC9/NC9 Pro are just too good to pass up. However, they don’t block ALL sounds. Here’s what to expect.Active Noise Canceling:- Works great for erasing continuous “white noise” from wind, airplanes, cars, fans, machinery, etc.- Really erases most white noise. Airplane noise gone. Car noise gone. Yes, that too.- Doesn’t block all shorter or sharp sounds.- Doesn’t block all rain noise.- You’ll still hear muffled sounds of people talking, dogs barking, etc.- You’ll still hear some white noise if wearing earbud seals too small for your ear.Transparent Mode:- Great for hearing people talking, airlines announcements, etc. while wearing earbuds.- Depending on the volume, you may need to pause your music to clearly hear outside noise.- Also amplifies white noise; it may not be so great to use this mode all the time.ANC Off – Standard Mode:- Still blocks some sounds, but doesn’t block white noise.- You’ll hear muffled sounds of people talking, dogs barking, etc.- NC9/NC9 Pro earbud batteries really last over 10 hours when using this mode (about 30% volume).- Perfect in a quieter environment when you don’t have to pay attention to others talking.RECOMMENDATIONS – TL;DRPlease keep in mind: all of these TOZO models sound great. If you’re used to laptop speakers or the tiny, wired earbuds included with your mobile device, you’ll likely be amazed at the sound quality difference.NC9 Pro: In my opinion, the NC9 Pro provides the best choice of features in regards to app-adjustable sound and noise cancelation. If you love these features, don’t need the power bank charger feature of the T12 Pro, and don’t mind the higher price, the NC9 Pro may be your best choice.NC9: The NC9 model sounds great and works well. To be honest, I often set my NC9 Pro equalizer feature to flat/standard because “bass +” is just too much bass. So, my NC9 sounds the same as my NC9 Pro. Considering the lower price point, the NC9 is very tempting.T12 Pro: If you must have the power bank charger feature, and the noise canceling or app features don’t appeal to you, the T12 may be for you. Still, may I recommend the NC9?T12: In my opinion, this model doesn’t offer any advantages over the NC9 (no power bank charger). Buy the NC9 instead.MISC NOTES – PROS/CONS- In all models I tested, the microphones pick up loud outside noise (i.e. airports arrivals area), which makes it difficult to use for calling (your friend can’t hear you). They work well in quieter environments.- I have smaller ears. I found the NC9/NC9 Pro earbuds fit better and were more comfortable than the T12 earbuds, especially when placing my ear on a pillow. Even though they’re similar in size, the T12 earbuds seem to stick out of my ears more. They may work better for people with larger ears.- The earbud buttons on all models are very sensitive. They’ll trigger if you accidentally touch them with your arm, hand, etc.- When skipping tracks, I’ve found it’s easier to just lightly double-tap the earbud button with the palm of my hand, or even my arm, than to try to locate it with a finger.I hope this review has been helpful!

TOZO NC9 is a great little pair of wireless bluetooth earbuds with great sound at an affordable price point. I’ve purchased the T10 and have been using my son’s T6 for this review. I also own an Apple Airpods Pro that I use every day. And the TOZO NC9’s sound does not disappoint. In fact, the sound quality difference is negligible between my NC9 and my Airpods Pro that I use the two interchangeably every day. Here’s my rating for each category (from 1 to 5):Sound quality: 5Sound stage: 5Charging case & connection: 5Fit: 5ANC (Active Noise Cancellation): 4Battery Life: 4SOUND QUALITYOverall, NC9 offers you a warm presentation of any type of music. The mids are slightly softer than T6 & T10, but they’re not weak. The highs are stable and crisp. I like the lows (bass) of NC9 slightly better than T6 & T10. Bass is deep and the mid-bass is punchy.SOUND STAGENC9 offers adequately wide sound stage. The separation & definition of instruments are great—the earbuds sound identical to expensive name-brand earbuds.CHARGING CASE & CONNECTIONIf your NC9 is already connected to a device (like an iPhone, in my case), the earbuds would automatically connect to your device as soon as they’re taken out of the charging case. However, if you want to use it on a different device (let’s say you want to switch from your iPhone to your iPad), you have to manually disconnect from your iPhone (in your bluetooth setting) in order for it to connect to your iPad. This is an inconvenience, but due to the great sound and other virtues of the NC9, I don’t mind this at all.FITI’m not sure if it’s the rubber ear tips or the design of the buds, but each time I insert them snuggly into my ears, the sound is always balanced (left and right channels, that is) unlike cheap in-ear earphones that must be inserted just right so that the left or right channel is not louder than the other. I found the ear tips to be quite comfortable and the earbuds stay in my ears unless (1) I shake my head quite violently or (2) I lower my head to tie my sneakers. Of course, due to the way the earbuds are designed (when properly inserted, the body of the earbud sits above the ear tip and the ear tip is inserted into the ear in a downward motion), if you lower your head to pick something up from the ground or tie your sneakers (before going for a jog), the earbuds would dislodge from your ear—this is a natural work of gravity on your earbuds. In any case, I love the fit of the NC9, and they stay in my ear better than the T10 and the T6—both of which seem to feel a bit heavier than the NC9.ANC/Transparency MODEAfter reading glowing reviews of NC9’s Active Noise Cancellation feature, I was a bit disappointed. I typically run a new set of earbuds through my “bathroom test” on its active noise cancellation feature. I would sit on the ivory throne, and with the bathroom fan whirling over me (my first-floor bathroom’s fan is quite loud), I would turn the ANC feature on and off in the earbuds to test this feature. If I were to give my Apple Airpods Pro a 9 (out of 10 being the best), I would give my NC9’s a 6. It suppresses some of the noise, but not in the way that my Airpods Pro does. Of course, my Airpods Pro’s are $250, and you can’t compare apples and oranges. For the price point, I would say that the NC9’s offer a decent level of noise reduction that can still be enjoyed in a crowded setting. Moreover, if you need noise cancellation, the ear tips do take out sound quite well. What I believe is NC9’s weakness is its Transparency Mode—it does not allow enough noise into the earbuds for me to use while jogging when I need to be aware of my surrounding. So I take my Airpods Pro’s when I go jogging or walking with my wife.BATTERY LIFEBattery life is a bit weak on the NC9’s. Amazon’s description touts that you can go for 8 hours on the NC9’s on a single charge and an additional 24 hours with the charging case. I repeated the battery test 3 times on the NC9 as well as on the T6 for comparison. After fully charging the earbuds, I listened to a youtube Jazz channel on low volume through my iPad. I recorded the hours played on a single charge. After that, I tried to see how long the earbuds would run while using the juice from their fully charged cases. Here are my results. On the T6, after a single full charge, the earbuds gave me 7 hours of playtime. After that, I used the juice from the fully charged case, and the total number of hours of playtime came to be 25 hrs and 35 minutes (average for 3 trials). On the NC9, after a single full charge, the earbuds ran 6 hours until the “battery low” voice came on the left earbud. I used the juice from the fully charged case after that, and the earbuds offered 17 hours and 30 minutes (average of 3 trials) of total playtime. This is certainly not the 24 additional hours noted in the product description. Yet, after an initial disappointment, I am not at all upset about the weak battery life of the NC9’s (as compared to the advertised playtime). I typically charge the case once a week in my regular use, and the battery life has not become an issue for me. They are a fraction of the cost of my Apple Airpods Pro’s, and they provide great sound. And that is the virtue of the NC9’s, and that is why it is a credible contender as one of the top wireless earbuds at this price point. Due to its sound quality, fit, and overall functionality, it’s a go-to earbuds, and I realize that I’ve been using it more often than my Apple Airpods Pro. For some reason, I find the NC9’s enjoyable and the sound credible enough to feel I’m not missing out when I’m not listening to my Airpods Pro’s.

I have AirPod Pros, but they do not work well with Windows computers and VMWare, so I cannot use them for work. So, I have been trying out tons of wireless headsets and earbuds. Honestly, most of them are super expensive and horrible in one way or another. So, at $60 and promising features similar to my AirPod Pros, I was pretty skeptical, but took the plunge.Pairing and Bluetooth ConnectivityFirst off, you can use just one earbud if you want. And pairing both earbuds with one another is seamless, and in some cases better than AirPods. Even though I have had these for 2 days,I have been using them almost non-stop minus sleep. I am always listening to music or on calls for work. I use an IP Phone on my computer, and I have had no issues with the Bluetooth connection dropping. However, Bluetooth range isn’t that great. I can talk maybe 15ft away from my computer before I start getting connectivity issues. No only that, but the connection will bounce between earbuds as well, making them mostly unusable. So, my advice to anyone using these is to make sure you don’t need to venture far from your connected device. As a note, I did try pairing this with my iPhone and a MacBook and both had the same issue.Sound QualityI am breaking this into 2 categories: Phone calls and Music. For phone or audio calls, the earbuds are pretty clear, but not perfect. I typically need to turn off transparency mode. Thankfully, it’s super easy with 2 taps on the left earbud. I do NOT recommend using these for phone calls if you are just using 1 earbud. For music, it’s exactly what I expected from $50 earbuds. Music is clear, and surprisingly, a lot better than audio from phone calls, which is confusing. However, if you want good bass and super clear sound, these are not for you. But these are way better than any other in-ear buds I have tried. They actually are almost as good as regular AirPods. They definitely don’t compare to the Pros though.I really love how well they can switch between audio from apps, although that is more OS-specific (Windows, iOS and MacOS all had the same result). Although, I did have to unpair these from my other devices, because I would get all sorts of device switching, which was really bad when I was in an important meeting.Battery Life8 hours of battery life is definitely not accurate. So far I have not gotten more than 6 hours. I was afraid of even getting 2 hours initially because the first 20% seems to drain really quick, then it slows down. Charging is super quick though, which is very convenient.Fit and Comfort and WorkoutsThese earbuds come with a few extra sizes for tips. I have pretty standard ears, so the tips that come out of the box fit perfectly for me. Also, the earbuds fit really well. I tried doing a HIIT workout and a yoga session and they stayed in my ears just fine, although once they start getting sweaty, they definitely start losing their snug fit and I did have readjust a couple times towards the end of my workout.Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Transparency ModeFirst off, Active Noise Cancellation, or ANC. I am floored at how good the ANC is at this price point. They are better than all of the top-of-the-line headsets I tried, including Logitech, Jabra, and Plantronics. Yes, it still picks up background noise and if you have kids yelling, a loud TV, or someone else is talking nearby, it will definitely pick up this noise to a certain extent, but it’s not super loud either for the listener on the other end.Transparency mode at this price point usually is garbage for other headsets and bugs I have tried. Even though this is nowhere near as good as AirPod Pros, it’s pretty amazing. To be clear, it does a good job at tuning out noises around you, NOT in front of you. For example, I could not hear one of my cats meowing loudly or my wife while she was on a work call. However, I could lightly hear my computer fan when it kicked on, as well as my keyboard clicks (keyboard has loud buttons). If I turned to look at my meowing cat, I could then lightly hear him meowing. But this is typically how most non-transparency mode works. In regards to Transparency mode being on, it’s really good. Something you need to keep in mind though it any “bone” noises will be heard no matter what. So, if you are chewing something, it’s going to sound super loud because you are using in-ear earbuds and the bone noise is amplified. So, ignore that, since it doesn’t apply. What’s important is that I can easily have a conversations with someone without needing to remove the earbuds, which is key for transparency mode. Again, not as good as my AirPod Pros, but it works and at this price point, there really isn’t any decent competition, or at least from my testing.OverallTo wrap it up, I love these earbuds and that they work perfectly with Windows and VMWare, which my AirPod Pros could not do. I will definitely be using these going forward for work.

These are great sounding earbuds at a really decent price. I work in a noisy environment and I was looking for a set of ANC earbuds that would kill some background noise but also deliver some solid low-end bass. These NC9 earbuds do both. Here’s the hiccup: A few months after I purchased these the sound in the left earbud started breaking up. This went on for 2 or 3 weeks until it finally stopped putting out sound. The touch control still worked, but there was no sound. Neither earbud was ever dropped, and neither ever got wet. I contacted the seller and told them about the problem, and they jumped into action. They quickly responded to my email and provided tech support in terms of performing a complete reset as well as having me check a few other things to verify the unit was, in fact, actually defective.Once it was determined that the unit was defective the company sent me a replacement set in connection with their stated warranty. I’ll tell you… the way things are these days, that was impressive. They are making it clear they want happy customers. This is the second set of TOZO NC9 earbuds I have purchased. I bought my first set several years ago and I really liked them, but the battery life on the original pair began to give out as batteries always eventually do. Since I was already a satisfied TOZO customer, I bought these to replace them. These are the “NC9 2022 version.”In my experience, the battery life on these newer earbuds is outstanding. While I haven’t measured the exact length of time the batteries last, I can tell you I usually start off in the morning using the earbuds and they’re still going strong by the time I get off work in the afternoon on an 8-hour shift. Of course, I do take a few breaks throughout the day where I remove the earbuds (remember… I’m at work!), but still there is long battery life in this newer version. I can say they definitely hold up a lot longer than the older version ever did. This is one of the improvements they made.I’m not going to tell you these earbuds are as good as some high-end, expensive ANC earbuds (they’re not), but these things ARE really good, and they do the job quite adequately – especially at this price point – and I’m happy with them. You can’t beat the price for the quality that you get with this product. So I’m giving these TOZO NC9 earbuds a solid 5 stars. But I also want to give a solid 5 stars to the company for standing behind their products and for their exceptional customer service. That means a lot to me.

Update: Again, TOZO customer service is excellent and responds to any issues quickly and positively. They replaced the charger case with a new one where the charger lid pin problem appears to be corrected and should not be an issue for anyone buying their product now.For battery life, I use these ear buds 1-3 hours a day every day and only need to hook up the charger case to recharge it about once every 13-15 days. Very pleased with the battery life.Original Review:I got these TOZO NC9’s because my Cowin over-the-ear noise cancelling headphones (which I really liked) started having problems after 4.5 years of use and pretty extensive traveling with them. This is the first set of wireless earbuds that I have owned (although I have listened to my friends’ Apple and other earbuds also) I have to say that I really love, Love, LOVE these noise-cancelling ear buds! I appear to have pretty average/standard ears as the buds fit very nicely and securely in my ears and I’m using the default ear tips. As they come with six different sized eartips, there is probably one set of tips that will work for you (or you might even want to use a different sized one in each ear if your ear canals are exactly symmetric). The sound from whatever device you’re connected to is very rich and clear, and you can easily pick out little background noises and stereo motion cues with these earbuds that you often can’t pick out when listening to your TV’s or tablet’s speakers. Both Bass and Treble are great–every bit as good as Apple ear buds but for quite a lot less money! No sense giving your money over to Apple executives’ bonuses and shareholder dividends when you can get a great non-Apple product for considerably less and keep that extra cash for yourself! The controls take a little bit of getting used to them, as some commands are done on the left bud and others on the right bud and initially I was getting them swapped or tapping once when I needed to tap twice. But, the buds ‘talk’ to you, letting you know the noise-cancelling mode that you just switched to, so if you did the wrong command, you can quickly correct it and then do the command you originally intended to do. Once you’ve used the buds a couple times, the commands fall into place. My primary purpose for these earbuds is for travel on planes and trains, so the noise cancelling aspect is important to me. I haven’t been able to test them out on a plane or train yet, so I did something a little more demanding: I wore them while mowing the lawn for over an hour. I normally wear ear plugs while mowing the lawn, but it turns out that these earbuds with noise cancellation turned on do a much superior job to my ear plugs–plus I can listen to music, podcasts, radio, books-on-tap, or whatever while I’m mowing and can hear it all very clearly and easily with the mower noise muted in the background. I have also been using the earbuds to stream video while I’m using my (noisy) stationary bike, and appreciate the noise cancellation and clarity of the sound while I’m exercising–it certainly makes the time go faster and more enjoyable with the clear sound versus using my Fire tablet’s external speakers while they compete with the noise from the bike (and no more need to have captions on or have to jump back 10 seconds because I missed some important dialog)!I have connected these buds with a Fire tablet, Samsung Smart TV, Samsung S20 phone, and Dell XPS laptop. All these devices connected easily and without problem, did not drop the connection (unless I walked out of range, but if I got back in range within several seconds, the connection picked right back up), the sound only glitched occasionally when I was at the edge of range (but still better performance than I expected and certainly better than my Corwin headphones). I also made phone calls with these TOZO earbuds, and they work really well–most people did not even notice when I switched to the earbuds in the middle of the call.I haven’t timed the battery life yet, but it definitely outlasts the battery on my Fire tablet while streaming movies, and the charging case tops off the earbuds whenever you put them back into the case. The case has battery level lights on it, so you also know about how much charge is left in the case before you need to charge the case up again. I’ve had the buds for about 3 weeks now, and have been using them 12 hrs/wk and will probably need to plug the charging case in for the first time this coming weekend.I haven’t tried out the waterproof feature yet, maybe when summer rolls around…I’ve only experienced one small problem, and that was with the charging case. The little pins holding in the hinge for holding on the lid started working their way out, and I did not notice this until the lid came off and it was too late/too hard to push the pins back in. So, you might want to check out the charging case hinge and see if the pins on yours have shifted–if so, you can probably get something like a toothpick, fork tine, or a eyeglass screw driver and slide it back in really easily. It’s unlikely that in normal use the pins would start to come out a second time. TOZO customer service was immediately responsive and has helped me out with this issue.Lastly, I like their selection of colors–so much more interesting than just white or black.

These sub-$40 ear buds outperform every other product in this price range and compete with big brand units that cost 3-4x as much. They are *that* good. The TOZO NC-9 ear buds are packaged in a very nice display box, along with a clamshell charging case, six pairs of silicon ear tips of various sizes, a short USB-A to USB-C charging cable, and a tiny instruction guide printed in the tiniest font imaginable. The charging case magnetically secures the ear buds and lid. Four LEDs across the front of the case display the level of charge for the case. The battery is a little undersized and will recharge the ear buds 1-2 times before it needs to be recharged itself. The ear buds should give you around eight hours of listening at half volume, or around six hours at higher levels. An LED on each ear bud glows red while it is charging and will go out once the ear bud reaches full charge. The outer surface of each ear bud contains a touch-sensitive pad that you tap to perform actions. You can tap, double-tap, or tap-hold each pad to invoke a separate function. The default settings for each ear are:left: tap = change mode (ANC/Transparent/None)left: double-tap = previous trackleft: tap-hold = volume downright: tap = pauseright: double-tap = next trackright: tap-hold = volume upYou can customize these settings via the TOZO app. The pads are very sensitive to touch and it’s easy to accidentally trigger the “tap” function just by brushing it with your hand.Sound quality is very good, with clear highs and solid bass response. The midrange is unexceptional but it isn’t muddy or attenuated. You can adjust EQ to suit your preference through the TOZO app, and most audio streaming apps provide some EQ function to cut or boost different frequencies. Each ear bud also has a microphone, which is used by active noise cancellation and for passing thru sounds when in Transparent more (more about that below). And of course, the microphones can be used to speak on phone calls and virtual meetings, but let me just say that the calling experience with these is not good. The feedback loop for your voice–to hear what you’re saying–is not good, and it’s like trying to have a conversation in the room with a muzzle over your mouth: you can hear them perfectly well, but your voice seems muddled and faraway to you. These ear buds have active noise cancellation. This provides modest noise reduction, but does not work nearly as well as the ANC circuitry in more expensive models. The ear buds also have a Transparent mode, which does the exact opposite of ANC: it uses the microphone in each ear bud to amplify ambient sounds around you so that you can hear while you are wearing them. This mode works like a hearing aid, in concept, but don’t buy these for that purpose. The circuitry uses a noise gate, which “turns on” the amplifier only when sounds are above a certain loudness. For example, you won’t hear a kitten’s purr in Transparent mode, but you will hear a dog’s bark or other sounds that are above 50-55dB. Tapping the touch pad on the ear buds while in Transparent mode is very noisy, because the microphones are beside the touch pad and taps are picked up and amplified.I’m very pleased with these and recommend to all but the most demanding audio enthusiasts.FOR APPLE DEVICES: If you use these on an Apple iOS device (iPhone, iPad) you may find that you can’t increase the volume coming out of the ear buds, no matter how high you raise the volume setting on the device. If this is the case, open the Settings app on the device, go to Sounds & Haptics > Headphone Safety and either turn off “Adjust Loud Sounds” OR increase the slider beneath it to the maximum volume that you can listen to comfortably.

Warranty…!My left bud suddenly stopped working this August, so I immediately went, “of course it happened one month out of warranty”. It shows that is charging, but removing the bud from the case does nothing. I work outside construction in Arizona so I sweat a lot, and these certainly weren’t pampered either. I figured I’d reach out to Tozo, worst they could do is say sorry it’s out of warranty. I even purchased a new set of T10s planning for the worst case. They immediately got back to me and shipped me a brand new pair after verifying my order. No hassle, no questions, even outside of the stated warranty. See below for my review, these are one of the best sets of Tozo ear buds even without considering the customer service I experienced.Review..!I bought these back in July ’22 to replace a set of Tozo T6s that one side of the case stopped charging after the wife accidentally ran them through the wash in my jacket. Both sides still work and charge on the good side of the case because they are identical, and I actually keep them as a back up set. It’s just a pain to charge them one at a time and manually turn the off the other bud. Not Tozos fault, and honestly it shows the water resistance of the T6 ear buds.Prior to these I had used LG tone infinums, platinums, and Hifiman buds. These each cost me over twice to three times the price of the Tozos so I was skeptical at first. I just couldn’t keep buying the higher dollar units after ruining them working construction. Now to the NC9s.Size and battery..!These are fairly large but don’t feel heavy or bulky in the ears. I have large ears and usually prefer the largest rubber. With the largest rubber, they sit snug in the ear workout discomfort. They will fall out with severe movement, but for average everyday actions I have no worries. I can go all day with these on a single charge, when with the t6s they would need a recharge around lunchtime.Sound..!These are a far better sounding headphone than the T6 and the T10s, and with far more features. The sound is definitely low end weighted with excellent extension way down low, but is still very balanced mid and high. If you are listener of non bass centric music the low end may be a bit much sometimes, but dubstep and rap listeners will be very pleased with these. The T10s unfortunately sound grainy and are high end overbearing compared to these, and the T6s are equally balanced but lack the extended lows of the NC9s. Imo, Nc9s are king and the T6s are actually better sounding than the T10s so take that as you will.Noise cancelling…!The noise cancelling works ok but isn’t perfect so don’t expect complete silence out of these. It focuses on cancelling the low rumbles so high pitched sounds aren’t blocked, and these are really susceptible to wind noise in noise cancelling mode. It almost amplifies the wind to the point of it being better to disable it outside on breezy days. They also sometimes lose the “noise cancelling” if one of the microphones gets blocked with sweat which results in both the buds becoming “transparent” with a slight pop then falling back into noise cancelling. It’s hard to explain, but you’d understand if it happens to you. These are more suited for plane and bus trips where theres a constant drone of noise that doesn’t change much, but still work great in the field most of the time. I don’t use noise cancelling that often because you need to have awareness while working, but it’s nice to know is there.Transparent mode doesn’t really offer any more awareness or openness imo, it kind of just adds limited outside noise with a background hiss. The noise isn’t directional either so it just slightly boosts background noise in monophonic. It doesn’t really amplify or boost voices either so I’m not to sure what it’s purpose truly is. My biggest negative comment about these is they will sometimes randomly fall into transparent mode with a slight brush from a hand or cloth onto the left earbud resulting in the need to cycle through transparent and noise cancelling mode to return to normal. Conclusion…!These are an awesome sounding feature packed ear bud set for under $40 that will stand up to abuse, and are backed by an incredible customer service and warranty. They would be great for a daily public transit commuter that wants to drown out the bus for the trip, but should honestly work and sound great for everyone. I will continue to purchase Tozo in the future for sure! There’s no reason to spend hundreds of dollars on name brands when these sound just as good for considerably less, and are backed by a great customer service team to boot.

Admittedly, this is my first pair of BT ear buds, coming from a pair of wired Sennheiser ear buds that I still use. I wanted something that would free-up my movements while bicycling and wireless is the way to go! I always read Amazon reviews, and will comment on a few that I’ve read:1. TOZO APP: Not sure if other reviews have documented this, but as of my purchase date, the TOZO app DOES support this NC9 model. I decided to download it to adjust the sound. See #3 below.2. FIT: With the various silicone earcap sizes, I’m somewhat confounded by those who complain about the fit of these earbuds. Mine came stock with one of the smaller sizes (I think it was second smallest) and I ended up moving two sizes up, which is about in the middle of the size selection. I have pretty standard, “normal” sized adult ears. The earbuds stay put very well, and didn’t budge when I cut the grass (walking) the other day. I think it’s somewhat impractical to expect ANY earbud to stay in place through vigorous movement.3. SOUND: On first listen, the sound was…..okay. It was decent, but a little on the shrill, glassy side. Good definition and detail, just treble-heavy. This is when I decided to download the app, and to my surprise (and delight) I found that the NC9 was included. I set the EQ to “jazz” (which is a standard EQ setting that I typically enjoy) and it adjusted the sound just fine. Bass extension for a wireless earbud costing $20 was perfectly acceptable. Volume wasn’t bad and is adequate.4. PAIRING: I had zero issues pairing my TOZO earbuds with a couple of phones. Hopefully this will remain the case.5. CONTROLS: They appear to be pretty standard, though I’d agree that they can be touchy if you get your finger around your ear. I don’t mind the voice telling me what mode I’m in. Some people are just……way sensitive to small stuff. I’m not one.6. BATTERY LIFE: I can’t really comment on this yet because I haven’t run them dry and re-charged them. I’ll update this review as I get more hands-on experience with the battery life.7. CASE: It’s an attractive, little case and the earbuds fit in it very well and very easy to get out. This was a consideration for me, as I was looking at other brands and TOZO models where reviewers expressed some disappointment with the difficulty they had getting the earbuds out of the case. As a lifelong nail-biter, the last thing I need is to struggle catching a teeny, tiny edge of my earbuds so I can release them from their case to use them. You want a good laugh? Watch me try to pick up a dime off a smooth granite or tile floor.8. NOISE CANCELLATION: Again, being my first set of wireless earbuds, I have no frame of reference as far as a comparison goes, but these seem to be pretty decent at cutting out outside noise. Do they eliminate ALL outside noise? No. For $20 I don’t expect them to. They should more than suffice for most human beings who don’t carry expectations at the 30,000 foot level. You want a fully noise-cancelling headphone? Buy one. One that covers your entire ear(s). Otherwise, I wouldn’t expect 100% noise cancellation.9. PHONE USE: I didn’t buy these to talk on the phone through, I bought them strictly for music listening while bicycling, mowing the lawn, or any other activity that would make wired earbuds inconvenient. For those complaining about how bad phone calls sound? I just laugh. Yes, you’re technically supposed to be able to receive calls and speak on the phone. But for $20? Common sense should dictate that if one plans on using BT earbuds primarily for phone work, one is going to want to spend a fair bit more than $20. Get real.9. VALUE: For $20? Please. Maybe I was lucky in that mine paired easily right out of the box, I was able to adjust the sound easily through the app that now includes this model…….maybe I’m old enough and wise enough not to let expectations run wild on something (ANYTHING) costing $20, but if these last me a year they’ll be worth it. Would I buy again? You bet. For the money, the fit and sound are very acceptable.

I had lost my previous pair of earbuds and wanted a replacement that didn’t break the bank. These were on a sale price when I discovered them. I was not familiar with the brand, but I had a trip coming and wanted to order something to cover that time.As it turned out, I discovered these earbuds are very comfortable to wear. They stay in my ears better than my previous name-brand buds. The noise cancelling is excellent and I like I can turn off the noise cancelling to have a quick conversation without having to disengage my music. I am not an audiophile, so I can’t speak to those with sensitive music needs, but for me the quality of the sound has been wonderful.I have recommended the TOZO brand to my friends and will likely buy another pair in the future if I happen to lose these on the road.

I was disappointed until I downloaded the app and tuned these. Now, they have AMAZING tone and bass! The 3 modes including transparency and noise cancelling are pretty good. I still take out a bud when I want to hear the rest if the world. I can’t quite understand what the automated voice is saying when the cancelling feature turns on, but she and I have an understanding now. I was very disappointed by the initial failures to charge. It seems the contacts on both sides are a little finicky. I put a dab of dielectric grease (available at the check out counter of the auto parts store if you don’t already have the big tube) on the charging points and now it is 95% consistently charging. The “coffin” does a good job of recharging the buds when it is not plugged in if it was well charged.
