Molasses butter skillet corn is only four ingredients. It takes very little time to prepare and it’s full of flavor. It’s creamy, buttery, and delicious. The molasses has such a rich deep flavor, so it adds a wonderful sweetness to the corn. Add this dish to any dinner or holiday gathering. Whenever I can make a dish that is simple to prepare but packs a flavor punch…I’m in! That IS this recipe.
Molasses Butter Skillet Corn Ingredients Needed:
Frozen Corn
Butter
Molasses
Cream Cheese
Recipe Notes: You could make this dish with canned corn but make sure you drain the corn from the can. If you like spicey, you could certainly add a few chopped jalapenos.
This dish goes great with our pork tenderloin with cherry sauce or our chicken fried steak.

Molasses Butter Skillet Corn
This simple side dish has only four ingredients. The flavor is so good! It’s the perfect addition to any meal or holiday.
- 2 10 ounces bags of frozen corn
- 4 tablespoons of butter
- 3 tablespoons of molasses
- 4 ounces of cream cheese cubed (room temperature)

In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and add molasses. Once melted add corn and continue to cook, stirring occasionally until done. Around 6-8 minutes. Then stir in cream cheese until melted. Serve immediately.
You could use canned corn in this recipe but be sure and drain the corn. If you like spicey, you could add chopped jalapenos.
