Honor has technically separated from Huawei and over the past year, the company has managed to regain a significant market share. It will continue to regain lost ground and is preparing for the announcement of the Honor Magic 4 series. The premiere can be arranged on the first day of the MWC 2022 exhibition, which starts in Barcelona on February 28.
The new family is expected to include at least three smartphones: Honor Magic 4, Honor Magic 4 Pro and Honor Magic 4 Pro+. Well-known network insider RODENT950 said that all three new products should receive LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 memory, Android 12 OS with Magic UI 6.0 shell, in-display fingerprint scanner, NFC module, 10-bit OLED panels from BOE with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, DCI-P3 and HDR10+ support.
But the size of the diagonal will be different. So, the base model will be awarded a 6.55-inch screen with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels, in the Pro version the display will be 6.67 inches with a resolution of 2772×1344 pixels, and the Honor Magic 4 Pro+ will get a 6.78″ display at 3200×1440 pixels. According to him, in Honor Magic 4, Dimensity 9000 will be offered as the SoC, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 for the Pro versions.

The Honor Magic 4 Pro will offer IP53 splash protection, while the 4 Pro+ will support IP68. The base model will not get water protection, and will offer a triple rear camera; of 50 MP + 50 MP (with macro support) + 16 MP (telephoto, 10x digital zoom). The resolution of the front camera will be 16 megapixels.
Magic 4 and 4 Pro; in addition to the main sensor at 50 MP and ultra-wide at 50 MP; will receive a telephoto lens with the same resolution (100x digital zoom) and monochrome at 50 MP. Offer laser autofocus and image stabilization system. Both smartphones will receive a dual selfie camera, where the key module is 13 megapixels.
On the flagship line of Samsung Galaxy S22; presented two days ago, Honor will respond with its Magic 4 Pro flagships. Their premiere (and immediately global) will take place on February 28 – we saw this date in the teasers.
The smartphones of the series will receive the top Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and advanced cameras; but there are no specific technical details yet. At the same time, an insider known on Twitter as Rodent950 published a comparison of the results of the Magic 4 Pro; and Galaxy S22 Ultra tests in the Geekbench benchmark.
The devices are running on the same SoC; but the Magic 4 Pto is ahead here both in the single-threaded test and in the multi-threaded one. Moreover, in the second case, the difference in favor of the promising flagship Honor is a significant 18%.
