If you want a great meal add these skillet fried apples to pork chops. The combination of pork and apples goes great together and is one my family loves. These apples really are a wonderful side dish to just about any meal. You can use any apples for this dish and it’s a great way to use up any apples you may have.

“This is one of my all time favorite southern dishes, I had fried apples all the time as a child in Virginia. As an Adult I love it most with Pork chops…(Instead of applesauce)” – Ladd

“THANK YOU for this recipe!!! It seems to be just what my grandmother used to make…I was born in Virginia and moved to Michigan at age 3. My mother wasn’t all that fond of cooking, so she couldn’t tell me how to make these…also, she had Alzheimer’s. I have searched for this recipe for a very long time! Will be making these very soon! BTW, love your site!” – Jan
