Smoked Sausage Pasta Skillet is great comfort food and a quick, easy meal. Just add some cornbread muffins and a salad. We love easy skillet meals during the week that you can just throw together with very little time in the kitchen. This meal is good in summer and winter. I like using fresh garden tomatoes and peppers in this recipe in summer.
Smoked Sausage Pasta Skillet Ingredients Needed:
Smoked sausage
Butter
Onion
Green pepper
Minced garlic
Salt
Black pepper
Hot sauce, Optional
Chicken broth
Diced tomatoes
Green chilis
Rotini pasta (could use shells, macaroni, penne)
Shredded cheese of your choice (could use more cheese. I used Mozzarella cheese)
This recipe is very versatile and easy to throw together on a busy night. If you don’t like an ingredient such as green peppers, simply leave it out or add something you do enjoy. You could also make this without the pasta and serve over rice for another easy and different dish. If you do decide to use rice, you could always use cauliflower rice as well.
