Brown Sugar Banana Bars
These Brown Sugar Banana Bars are so easy to make and so good!
Servings: 4 servings
- 1/2 cup of salted butter melted
- 1/2 cup of white granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar packed
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 egg
- 1 cup of flour
- 1/2 cup of banana mashed (I used one banana)
- 1/2 cup of pecans chopped
Frosting Ingredients:
- 3 ounces of creamed cheese softened
- 2 tablespoons of butter softened
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 3/4 cup of powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup of pecans chopped
-
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray an 8X8 baking dish. Combine butter, white and brown sugar, egg and vanilla and mix well. I just used a spoon.
-
Add in flour, cinnamon and banana, stir until well mixed.
-
Fold in pecans.
-
Baked for 22-25 minutes until center is done. It may have a little moisture but that is okay. It took mine 25 minutes. Ovens vary.
-
Let cool completely.
Frosting Instructions:
-
For frosting, combine all ingredients, except pecans and mix with a hand mixer until well combined. Spread over banana bars and top with pecans.
-
I store these in the fridge, they are great cold.
