This Classic Meatloaf has been a staple in our family for many many years! My Nannie made it all the time, it was always requested for her to bring it to every family reunion. She would use 5lbs of hamburger and make enough for everyone to enjoy! If you are looking for a great meatloaf, this one is delicious.
Classic Meatloaf Ingredients Needed:
Hamburger
Onion
Celery
Green Pepper
Pepper
Salt
Garlic Powder
Ground Cumin
Chili Powder
Worcestershire Sauce
Few drops of hot sauce
Quick Cooking Oats
Milk
Ketchup
Cooking spray
If you have been with our website from the beginning then you may have seen this recipe. It was one of the first ones we ever posted. We decided to take new pictures and repost this recipe, since we haven’t updated it since the very beginning. The meatloaf in these pictures may look bigger than normal.. which it should.. we doubled the recipe. We made this recipe for all of us to enjoy and it lasted 2 days!

Best Classic Meatloaf
This best classic meatloaf is one your family will love.
Servings: 6 servings
- 1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1 cup celery chopped
- 1 small green pepper chopped
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- few drops hot sauce
- 1 cup quick cooking oats uncooked
- 2/3 cup milk
- Ketchup
- Cooking spray

Combine all ingredients except ketchup and make into a loaf.

Spray a long casserole dish with cooking spray.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until meat is no longer pink.

Remove from the oven and cover the top of the meatloaf with ketchup and put under the broiler for 3 minutes.
