I bought this mouse for the first time around 5 or 6 years ago (maybe even longer). It only just now started to flake out, so I bought a new one of the exact same model. Here’s to another 5 years!

I’m not a gamer, but I want a mouse with programmable buttons. Mostly for copy and paste. I use those buttons constantly, it saves a huge amount of effort and time when you need to clean up a lot of data.

I’ve just been flicking back through my purchase history and discovered that I purchased this mouse in 2015.2015! That’s 8 years ago and it’s still working like a dream! I’ve played World of Warcraft nearly every day since purchase, and used it to work from home for the past 3 years.I love the button placement and the set up is very straightforward. I’ve got quite small hands so it’s nice not feeling like you’re operating a tortoise, and all the buttons are within easy reach.Would highly recommend, and if it ever wears out, I’ll be back for another!

Genutzt wird die G300s von mir seit 6 Monaten und das im täglichen Einsatz. Nach meiner Erfahrung eine gute Dauer um ein Fazit zu ziehen.OptikDie Optik der Maus ist relativ schlicht gehalten, Lichtstreifen in verschiedenen Farben (über Software auswählbar) geben den “Gaming” Akzent, aber auch als (Home-) Office Maus würde sie absolut durchgehen, da sie eben nicht den oft überaggresiven “Gaming Look” hat, was mir persönlich gut gefällt.Material und VerarbeitungAbnutzungen, Verfärbungen oder Lackabplatzer am Material suche ich vergebens. Maustasten und Rad sitzen bombenfest, nichts wackelt, klappert oder ist ausgeleiert. Der verwendete Kunstsoff ist gegen schwitzige Hände scheinbar sehr gut gewappnet. Auch die gummierte Daumenauflage zeigt sich unbeeindruckt. Hier hat Logtech seine Hausaufgaben gemacht. Da habe ich bei preislich ähnlich angesiedelten Mäusen schon ganz anderes erleben dürfen.Bedienung & SoftwareSämtliche Tasten haben einen guten Druckpunkt und geben ein ausreichend taktiles Feedback. Klicks werden ausnahmslos registriert und man weis genau wann man geklickt hat und wann nicht.Software bei günstigerer Peripherie ist ja oftmals eher Gimmik als alles andere, in diesem Fall aber wurde ich positiv überrascht. Alle Tasten lassen sich über die Logitech Gaming Software in verschiedenen Profilen programmieren. Die Profile ordnet man dann den gewünschten Apps oder Spielen zu und die Maus lädt dann automatisch für jede Anwendung das entsprechende Profil, was äußerst praktisch ist.ErgonomieDie symetrische Form der Maus wird sowohl bei Links- als auch bei Rechtshändern gut ankommen. Die Maus bietet für normalgroße Hände genügend Auflagefläche für Palmgrip, ich nutze sie aber hauptsächlich im Clawgrip. Wer große Hände hat und Palmgrip bevorzugt, sollte vielleicht doch eine größere Maus in Erwägung ziehen.FazitHardcore Gamer mögen die G300s vielleicht als Leichtgewicht betrachten, bietet sie doch beispielsweise keine Armada an individuell programmierbaren Tasten oder endlose Farboptionen für die LED Beleuchtung, aber für alle anderen bietet Logitech hier Qualität und Funktionalität zu einem attraktiven Preis an.Was man für knapp 36€ bekommt ist eine vielfach programmierbare Gaming/ Office Maus mit toller Verarbeitung und hochwertigen und vor allem strapazierfähigen Materialien. Dazu eine ausnahmsweise wirklich gut durchdachte und nützliche Software :)Meiner Meinung setzt die G300s den Maßstab für “Gaming” Mäuse im unteren bis mittleren Preissegment.
