REVIEW CHANGED FROM 1 STAR to 5 STARItem works perfectly as advertised after replacing batteries. The batteries were were defective and too small so they popped out of the tray. That was the entire problem all along. That is why nothing worked. The batteries were 1-2 mm smaller. So this was defective batteries the manufacturer was getting rid of. If you have the same problem just replace the batteries and everything will work. It’s a great item and does exactly as advertised. I use this with a real camera system and it looks great at night.————————————————————————————————————————-Electrical manufacturing defect. Battery tray defect. No circuit connection OR Defective night sensor. The unit is defective. It does not work in “minutes” as advertised. You must remove the back cover held by a screw to install the 2 batteries. The batteries immediately pop out – because the tray and connectors are defective. The batteries do not stay put with the cover on. There is no way to make the batteries stay in the tray. You could add glue on the batteries. But there is no anchor. And even when the batteries are held in with the unit there is no electrical connection. No red light. No green light. The only reason I purchased this is because there is a green night light on the keypad!I tried contacting the seller and there is no reply. I expect a replacement or refund to be issued immediately.

Came sealed in a hard plastic w/2 batteries included. The batteries were DOA, so plan on probably needing 2 AAA batteries right away. Mounts easily w/included screws and anchors. With a flashing red LED and (at dusk) a green back-lit number pad it should look “real” and “operational” to any casual observer.

I actually have a real alarm system on my office at nine times out of 10. They try to go after the keypad thinking they can get in. So this is a secondary form and a deterrent that really doesn’t cost all that much in case it is vandalized. The item actually actually works really well and I can’t complain.

Does what I wanted. Battery life is short, maybe 3 days. I soldered a plug in charger connector and plugged it in. Works great now.

I won’t get into the life-changing aspect of this, but the product is exactly what it says it is. It’s a fake security entry keypad. It’s totally 1000% worked for what I wanted it for and in that has saved me countless headaches. The problems I had before sticking this up are gone and have been gone since Day 1. Now…if someone decided to call the bluff….it would be over, but they haven’t, so I have peace.

Hey this is a nice keypad!I’m not using it as intended, I just wanted it for a low power LED flasher circuit 4 a project I’m working on.I was expecting a cheap china piece of crap, but I was surprised!I almost feel bad chopping it up for parts!I’m gonna get a few more, & stick them on all of my doors & use them as intended as a fake entry keypads. It is well built, & the instructions were actually in English! It actually came with the batteries & the light up keypad triggers perfectly @ dark.I can’t say how long it will light the keypad light up @ night for on a set of batteries, until I test it, but it might be days/months?If you need this for a fake keypad, or for parts, I’d say its worth it, for shure! They had one of thease @ Harbor freight, but they dont stock them anymore, so I looked on Amazon & found this one.I never type reviews, but I had 2 do it today.Maybe the guy selling them will send me other stuff 2 test …Lol!…call me!!!

very realistic item. Lights up at night to look authentic. Combined with a motion sensing alarm inside makes effective security warning system!

Front doors in my neighborhood are popular targets for lawn care folks, remodeling folks, religious folks, and more, and they don’t stop for fence gates. I first tried a “No Soliciting” sign, but it looked ugly and isn’t the way I wanted to greet family and friends. I next tried a hidden gate latch, but way too many of the solicitors knew about them and just went on through.Adding this fake keypad worked!

The flashing red light looks realistic. The lighted key looks perfect.
