This year has been a season of early releases. A number of companies are in a hurry and announce their devices at an early date. Among the new products, which will premiere earlier than usual, we have the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.

True, the timing of the release of the successors to the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will not be shifted much. So, usually the release of Google flagships falls on October. But this year, the Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro may be unveiled in September. No one guarantees that this prediction will come true. The decision will be made after studying the absence of any constraining factors. For example, the shortage of components and the timely release of the second generation of the Google Tensor chip.

Well-known leaker Ross Young has revealed that the Pixel 7 should get a 6.3-inch display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, while the Pixel 7 Pro’s screen will be the same size as its predecessor. Rumor has it that the Pro will receive an LTPO OLED panel with a dynamic refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro: release dates and display details

Early renderings of the Google Pixel 7 indicate that there aren’t many design changes to be expected. The company will take the exterior from the Pixel 6 as a basis and make some minor changes.

Google Pixel 7 renders

The well-known insider OnLeaks, with the participation of SmartPrix, has recently published images of the upcoming Google Pixel 7 Pro smartphone. The device is in many ways similar to the previous Pixel 6 model – the vertical camera block on the rear panel and the two-tone design remained in place. Images of the younger Pixel 7 also leaked.

The trio of cameras on the back of the 7 Pro take up quite a lot of space. These included a telephoto camera, a wide-angle camera, and an ultra-wide camera. There is also a front one – it is located under the hole cutout in the OLED display.

The 7 Pro model turned out to be slightly shorter and thinner; but at the same time slightly wider than its predecessor. The dimensions of the new version are 163 × 76.6 × 8.7 mm, while the old one had 163.9 × 75.9 × 8.9 mm. It is noted that in the upper part the plastic strip covering the 5G millimeter-band antenna has disappeared – the latter has migrated to the side face.

Together with the CARHP resource, the insider also published renders of the Pixel 7 smartphone. The model is made in the same style, only some details differ: a smaller display diagonal and one of the rear cameras is smaller.
