Cheesy garlic ham biscuits are delicious! There must be a thousand or more ways to make biscuits and I would probably like them all! I love biscuits. A good Southern buttermilk biscuit with gravy just can’t be beat in my book. These ham biscuits are a great way to use up ham and so good for breakfast with coffee or just as a snack.

Butter
Cooked ham
Shredded cheddar cheese or can use cheese of your choice
Buttermilk
I love these biscuits with butter and honey, something about the sweetness of the honey just goes great with these! Grape jelly is great too. These little biscuits would be perfect for any gathering, they would be a wonderful appetizer. Easy to make and taste great and display well too. Great for a wedding or baby shower.
I often make these after Easter or Christmas since we always have ham leftover!
You can use evaporated milk but I do think they are better with the buttermilk. If you love these delicious biscuits you should definitely try these Cream Cheese Biscuits!

Cheesy Garlic Ham Biscuits
These biscuits are delicious and perfect to make when you have leftover ham.
Servings: 18 biscuits
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 6 tablespoons of butter cut into pieces
- 1 1/2 cups ham cooked and chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or can use cheese of your choice. I use several different cheeses blended sometimes
- 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
-
Mix flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder with a whisk. Cut the butter pieces into the flour mixture until looks like coarse crumbs. Add ham, cheese and milk. Mix with spoon and turn out onto floured board. I don’t roll this out. I just pat the dough out with my hands to desired thickness. I used a small cookie cutter, too, instead of a regular biscuit cutter.
-
Baked on a sprayed cookie sheet in a preheated 425 degree oven until brown on top or 15 to 20 minutes.
-
Serve with honey, preserves, molasses, etc
