Poco Smartwatch Arrives On EEC, SDPPI & TDRA Websites

[ad_1]

An alleged Poco Smartwatch has bagged multiple certifications including EEC, SDPPI, and TDRA ahead of its launch. The popular Xiaomi sub-brand has been leaving no stone unturned in a bid to make its foray into the smart wearable segment. In November 2021, Poco’s head of product marketing, Angus Ng indicated that the company will introduce ecosystem products soon. So, it is barely surprising to see its maiden smartwatch bagging mandatory certifications.

Aside from that, Poco has confirmed that it is currently working on true wireless earphones. Furthermore, the Poco TWS Earbuds are set to launch in India soon. Country Director of Poco India, Anuj Sharma has admitted that the brand is bent on entering more product segments in 2022. Now, the Poco Smartwatch has passed through EEC, SDPPI, and TDRA certification websites, confirming that launch of the brand’s maiden smartwatch is around the corner.

A Poco Smartwatch Spotted On EEC, SDPPI & TDRA

SlashLeaks contributor Piyush Bhasarkar spotted the Poco smartwatch on the Russian Electronics Certification platform, EEC (via GizmoChina). This listing shows a smartwatch carrying model number Poco M2131W1. Furthermore, this smart device is made by 70mai Co. Ltd. For those who are unaware, 70mai Co. Ltd. is a Shanghai-based brand that associates with Xiaomi’s IoT products regularly. Regrettably, the listing does not shed light on the Poco smartwatch’s features or key specs.

Also, 70mai is not popular for its smartwatches. Instead, it is popular for making dashcams like Dash Cam Pro Plus, Dash Cam A400, and 70mai Dash Cam 1S.

Poco Is Expanding Its Product Portfolio

Aside from the smartwatch, Poco has been exploring the audio segment for quite some time now. However, Poco is still mum on its plan to launch these ecosystem products. Nevertheless, the company’s executive has indicated that if the brand makes its foray into the fitness wearables segment, it will bring an affordable wristwatch. In other words, Poco is not prepping to unveil a fitness band anytime soon.

Poco Pop Buds

Following in the footsteps of Xiaomi, and other leading brands, it looks like Poco wants to create a full ecosystem for its consumers. In the meantime, the Poco Pop Buds have passed through the Bluetooth SIG certification website. It will be the company’s first-ever TWS earphones. On the downside, details about the Poco Pop Buds are still few and far between. However, more vital pieces of information about the Poco smartwatch are likely to surface online in the coming days.
