The Realme 9i was unveiled last week, and today it debuted in India. It comes in Prism Black and Prism Blue colors and has two memory options – 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB priced at INR13,999 ($190/€165) and INR15,999 ($215/€190), respectively. You can buy one starting January 22 through Realme.com and select partner retailers.
The Realme 9i is powered by the Snapdragon 680 SoC and runs Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 out of the box. It’s built around a 6.6″ FullHD+ 90Hz LCD that’s protected by the DragonTrail Pro glass and has a punch hole in the top-left corner for the 16MP selfie camera.
The rear panel of the Realme 9i, which flaunts a Stereo Prism Design, is home to a camera system consisting of 50MP primary, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth units.
The rest of the Realme 9i’s highlights include stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB-C.
The Realme 9i also comes with a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion by up to 1TB, and you also get the Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE) feature, which lets you virtually expand the RAM by 3GB on the 4GB RAM model and 5GB on the 6GB version. However, DRE won’t be available out of the box and will arrive later through an OTA.
Fueling the entire package is a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W Dart Charge support, advertised to go from flat to 100% in 70 minutes.
